Come and walk into the path of the French Revolution from Place de la Bastille to the heart of the Marais.

A few cornerstones and historical plaques help understand where the infamous prison stood before it was stormed on July 14th 1789. The walk will then review places and buildings related to the events leading to the end of the Ancien Regime.
The Marais, located between Bastille and the Hôtel de Ville got intimately linked to the Revolution with its beautiful mansions emptied from their aristocratic owners. They quickly got replaced by small fabrics, families and quantities of working class families.

You will see part of a wall and the former entrance of la Force prison, where the infamous September 1792 massacre took place.

The tour will also show the inner courtyard of musée Carnavalet, where can be seen the only statue of a King remaining from before the French Revolution.

Walk in English organized for a small group (8 people max.)

25€/person.
