The adventure
Once all participants are gathered, your professional guide, a Northern Lights specialist, will analyze the weather forecast and auroral conditions to choose the best location to witness this magical phenomenon.
During the evening, we may travel up to 100 km (round trip) to reach one of our exceptional sites, carefully selected for optimal viewing conditions.
Throughout the excursion, your guide will share their knowledge of the Northern Lights, the history of Abisko National Park, and offer you a warm beverage to fully enjoy this unforgettable experience.
Observation sites
Our team of professionals has access to more spectacular locations than any other operator in Abisko. During the excursion, we typically visit one of the following sites:
- The stunning shore of Lake Torneträsk with its panoramic landscapes
- A quiet bay in the northwest of the lake, with incredible Arctic views and a cozy fire spot
- A breathtaking site at the summit of Bear Mountain, on the border between Sweden and Norway
- An exceptional observation point in the mountains surrounding Björkliden
- A secluded fishing village near the mouth of the Torne River, which flows into Lake Torneträsk
- And many other magical places!
Practical information
- Your adventure will begin directly at the reception of your hotel in Abisko or Björkliden
- This excursion is designed for groups of 1 to 30 people, ensuring a comfortable and personalized experience
- This excursion takes place on a large bus (maximum 30 people)
- Warm clothing is not included We strongly recommend bringing warm winter clothing and insulated boots
- Thermal suits and Arctic boots are available for rent at an additional cost
- Minimum age: 5 years (We cannot provide child seats.)
- Photography equipment is not included. Your guide has basic knowledge of Northern Lights photography and can offer advice if you bring your own camera.
