\/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The Orl\u00e9ans Chancellery in the National Archives<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>It was at the request of <strong>Philippe d&#8217;Orl\u00e9ans<\/strong>, the future Regent of France after the death of Louis XIVth, that the mansion known as the Chancellerie d&#8217;Orl\u00e9ans was built from 1703 near the Palais Royal. <br \/>Its construction was entrusted to the <strong>architect Germain Boffrand<\/strong> and it received a <strong>high quality decoration<\/strong> from that time.<\/p>\r\n<p>Then inhabited by the d&#8217;Argenson family, it was renovated by Charles De Wailly in the 1760s, and was then considered among the <strong>most refined<\/strong> of Parisian private mansions.<\/p>\r\n<p>The mansion having been demolished at the beginning of the 20th century, its decorations were preserved by the <strong>Banque de France<\/strong>, which had become its owner. <br \/>After having lain dormant for many years, these extraordinary decorations were reassembled, at the end of an <strong>exceptional heritage project<\/strong>, on the ground floor of the <strong>H\u00f4tel de Rohan.<\/strong> T<br \/>he mansion is the eastern part of\u00a0 the National Archives compound, enclosed within four different streets in the Marais.<\/p>\r\n<p>The meeting point is outside <strong>the Archives Nationales\u00a0<\/strong>building, at 60, rue des Francs Bourgeois.<br \/>M\u00e9tro H\u00f4tel de Ville or
