style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overview of the main places used by the Germans to house soldiers, officers and <strong>Army headquarters<\/strong> in Paris. The walk will also speak about the Occupation seen on a <strong>daily basis<\/strong> with the eyes of anonymous people. <br \/>With sometimes <strong>rare photos<\/strong>, this walk will also talk about the <strong>Deportation of the Jews<\/strong>, the French collaboration and the <strong>Resistance. <\/strong>Through various neighborhoods and side streets, we&#8217;ll explore daily life between Germans and Parisians.<br \/>Discover the buildings occupied by the German Army such as the <strong>Kommandantur<\/strong>. Located on the Opera square, it was the main meeting center between the Occupation army and the French population. Splendid hotels, like <strong>le Meurice<\/strong>, were also used as headquarters for the greater Paris area. It became a major fighting point between the Germans and the Allies. The hotel saw the last German commanding officer signed there his surrender and the end of the Occupation.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The tour will end at Place de la Concorde with more pictures and recounts of the <strong>Liberation of Paris<\/strong> in August 1944.<\/p>\r\n<p>2 hours outdoor walking tour <strong>in English<\/strong>.
