neighborhoods.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>The tour begins in the Belleville heights. In this working-class neighborhood, we&#8217;ll see the house where Edith Piaf was born in poverty. The often derelict workers&#8217; housing was largely replaced in the 1960s. A large park now sits at its center, offering one of the <strong>most beautiful panoramic views<\/strong> of Paris.<br \/>Some<strong> small passageways<\/strong> remain, lined with charming 19th-century houses and a few private lanes.<br \/>The streets of Belleville reveal <strong>the true Paris<\/strong>, with its mix of social housing, neighborhood restaurants, and small shops.<br \/>Another <strong>charming alley<\/strong> leads to an old villa, dating from before the Revolution. It now houses a <strong>contemporary art center<\/strong>.<br \/>After this visit, the tour takes us to a street with <strong>unique venues<\/strong>: cafes, restaurants, concert halls, and nightlife spots. Their history has left its <strong>mark<\/strong> on the neighborhood.<br \/>The descent leads to a former <strong>railway line<\/strong>, now transformed into a promenade and community gardens. After passing the neighborhood church, the tour will head towards other side streets and then the main boulevards.<\/p>\r\n<p>It&#8217;s a true crossroads for <strong>Jewish and Muslim communities<\/strong> originating from Tunisia, as well as for the <strong>Chinese<\/strong> community. It boasts the oldest Jewish butcher shop in Paris, along with numerous bars, restaurants, and cabarets.
