With <strong>Roman remains<\/strong>, it also houses<strong> old churches<\/strong>, charming streets and <strong>prestigious monuments<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-6575\" src=\"https:\/\/interkultur.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Notre-Dame-facade-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/interkultur.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Notre-Dame-facade-66x66.jpg 66w, https:\/\/interkultur.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Notre-Dame-facade-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/interkultur.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Notre-Dame-facade-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/interkultur.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Notre-Dame-facade-500x500.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>The Latin Quarter has long been associated to the <strong>Sorbonne University<\/strong>, one of the oldest in the world. This is where students and teachers from all over Europe met, speaking Latin, the international language. Hence the name of the neighborhood today.<\/p>\r\n<p>Our tour will start with <strong>Notre Dame Cathedral<\/strong> and the <strong>Sainte Chapelle<\/strong>, two world-famous monuments. Both symbols of <strong>Gothic architecture<\/strong> they are established on the island, where the Gallic city of <strong>Lutetia<\/strong> was probably born.<br \/>Going left bank the itinerary will pass by <strong>Paris&#8217;s oldest tree<\/strong>, two old and unusual churches. But also, <strong>Medieval narrow winding<\/strong> streets full of lively restaurants, varied boutiques and countless bookstores.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Latin Quarter spreads over a hill lined with blocks from Sorbonne University and other schools. It is topped by a <strong>superb 17th century chapel<\/strong>. It is also where the splendid <strong>Middle Ages art museum<\/strong> can be found.
