A  small group walk for Paris architecture lovers.

A first stretch in the 16th arrondissement will recall Art Deco’s origins and diffusion, highlighted with several houses built in the same street by key architects.
Just a block away, another amazing place, built by leading 1930’s architect Le Corbusier, gives another orientation to modernist style. The compound, now partly housing the International le Corbusier Foundation, is a real manifesto to the famous architect’s guidelines. A visit (10€) will show the different elements: common area, perspectives, art gallery as well as private rooms for the owner, the banker and art collector Raoul la Roche.
Several Art Deco buildings will follow on the way to the nearest metro station.

After a short metro trip, a stop will take place outside one of the most beautiful and typical restaurants in Paris, rich with anecdotes. Across the street, is another example of Art Deco buildings, directly inspired by American high rises from the 1930’s.

The end of the tour will take place in a fantastic hotel built as a tribute to the great 1925 Art Deco exhibition, filled with the most refined furniture, frescoes, and decors.

The meeting point is just outside Ranelagh metro station Exit number 1.
