This round trip tour to Versailles will show the sumptuous apartments of one of the most well known and prestigious palaces in the world.
The meeting will take place outside the Palace or in Paris for a car pick up depending on the option chosen.
After a short introduction of the place and main characters’ important historical facts, we’ll head for the visit of the main palace with pre-booked tickets. From a private entrance, we’ll go through the the castle’s main apartments: en suite rooms with guilded and painted decors reminding the court’s life and the upclass style of Aristocratic 17th century France, but also including the hall of mirrors. The tour also highlights the Royal Chapel, the king’s bedroom, and the imposing stairs of the Queen.
We’ll then have a walk in the magnificent park between nicely trimmed alleyways, superb antique style sculptures and sumptuous fountains. Of course, the tour will highlight the magnificent and hidden groves, sprayed throughout the vast park and built for the court’s pleasure as well as a symbol of the King’s artistic and architectural power.
Return to Paris will take place after 3 or 4 hours on site depending on the groves being open or not in the gardens.
