Tranquil and delightfully green, the town of Le Vésinet, close to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, is an invitation to stroll and discover its many villas. Splendid and surprising architecturally, some of them also had illustrious occupants.
During the visit, we’ll have the privilege of being welcomed by the owners of Villa Berthe, known as “la Hublotière”, the former personal property of French Art Nouveau master Hector Guimard, known for his iconic Parisian metro stations and buildings (Castel Béranger, Hôtel Guimard, Hôtel Jassedé…). The villa is only partly open a few weeks every year during the summer period.
We’ll then take a stroll through the city of le Vésinet, discovering the sights and sounds of its many parks and ponds, showing several splendid houses on the way. The walk will finally pass by a church in the city center, remarkable in more ways than one, both for its architecture and especially for the frescoes to be found inside, by a famous painter.
The meeting point is outside le Vésinet – Le Pecq RER A station (exit 1) at 10:30 AM
30€ per person (includes Guimard’s house entrance ticket).
