The day will start with an early departure from your Paris hotel with a 2 hours ride in a comfortable private car to the destination. The first stop will be at one of the three finest chateaux that made this region world famous. One option is the city of Amboise and the beautiful chateau built on top, where famous kings and Queens once stayed. it also houses Leonardo da Vinci‘s tomb.
Blois is the second option. The chateau is built right into the city center and offers great anecdotes, stunning 16th and 17th century architecture and a stroll in the lively town afterwards. The third place is Chaumont: a large and beautiful chateau with heavy towers overlooking the Loire river, it was at the center of a battle between two powerful women! The magnificent garden is worth a visit on its own!

Wine tasting in one of the many wine growers established in the area, will follow. Some beautiful cellars are carved deep into the chalk cliffs, lunch will be proposed upon request.

To start the afternoon, we will take a drive through the quaint Loire region countryside with potential stops in vineyards, villages and countless smaller chateaux on the way.

A scheduled stop is at Cheverny, famous for the 17th century refined chateau, where superb stables and the most famous packs of hunting hounds in France are housed. A very modern wine tasting house is located nearby and offers samples of all the regional wine grapes.

Continuing the scenic drive, our last chateau is probably the most famous. Chambord displays typical 16th century French architecture, and it is really fit for a king. it is also well known for the sumptuous and unique stairs, invented by Leonardo da Vinci.

A shorter drive will take you back to Paris around 8 pm.
